Gwendy Joysen's powerhouse vocals and skillful songwriting strike a resonant chord in her listeners that elates and calms us at the same time. With varied roots in alternative pop, blues-influenced rock and folk music, her left of center songs cover the gamut but tend to dwell on the healing side of our humanness. Coming Soon is the hard earned project "The Path Back" which captures the profound journey through life's wreckage, rediscovery  and homecoming as she returns to her origins in Christian Music. On her own indie label, Gwendy has four previous full length releases; "Moment of Clarity," "Love Is Stronger“ "…and miles to go” and her Inclusive Inspirational CD “Sacred." She has also released a 4 song EP entitled “When In Rome,” & 2 spoken word projects.

Over the years, Gwendy has been honored with the generous support & collaboration of such musicians as Dave Matthews' member & Bela Fleck’s long-time saxophonist extraordinaire Jeff Coffin, (Van Morrison, Delbert McClinton). Rich Aspinwall, who has worked with legends EmmyLou Harris, Indigo Girls, Garth Brooks and many more. Aspinwall offered his expertise and support while she grew as a young performer, producing & engineering cuts on her previous CDs and he mixed her last 2 studio releases. She has worked with greats such as Rosemary Butler, background vocalist for James Taylor, and performed background vocals for A&M Records, Mercury, EMI & Forerunner. She has sung & written with Will Rambeaux (Faith Hill, Sherrié Austin), Patsy Moore (Warner Brothers), and Dawn Thomas (Anita Baker, Earth Wind & Fire, Faith Hill) to name a few.

Although she has opened for musical greats like Patty Larkin, her work often supports speakers & authors of great thinking. Gwendy's single "Not Enough" has been selected as the theme song for Rainbow Legend's book release & tour of Dragonfly Stories. Joysen has opened for New York Times Best Selling Authors like Marianne Williamson in Los Angeles, Gary Zukav in Kansas City and with Will Bowen extensively. She has also performed in support of other great authors such as Margaret Starbird, Edweine Gaines, Beverly Fisher and Shana Thornton.

Gwendy began performing as a teenager, playing mostly acoustic sets and later shifting into alternative pop rock. Her songwriting started even earlier, at the tender age of nine. As a youngster, she performed frequently at Nashville hot spots like The Bluebird Cafe, Exit/In and 12th and Porter and later she independently made her way across the country in coffee houses, churches, clubs and house parties. These days Gwendy is serving as Director of Modern Worship, running her Ministry, Anima Indago Ministries and her Studio & Publishing House of the same name, with upcoming releases of both her own and her artists' on the AIM recording label GoThere! Records.

As a performer, Gwendy Joysen is dynamic, diverse and edifying, all of which she seamlessly accomplishes through worshipful leadership. An artist beyond category, her identifiable voice is powerful, passionate and memorable. In her left-of-center, soul-gripping performances, she takes you on a journey from groove to ballad to rocker, bringing together a variety of styles in a refreshingly unique way while holding you close with subtle familiarity, all the while leaving her audience energized and inspired. Both powerful and provocative, Gwendy's music is consistently gripping and ever evolving, with a resonant call to love-in-action.
